Why I Am Running

• I am running for Multnomah County Chair because I want to see Multnomah County continue to be a great place to live and work, and to fulfill its promise as a place of opportunity for those who are willing to work hard.

• I am running for Multnomah County Chair to ensure that we provide a good education for future generations and a social safety net for our seniors, while supporting smart growth that minimizes sprawl and investing wisely in our crumbling infrastructure.

• I am running for Multnomah County Chair because I believe that government should be composed of common people, like me, who are willing to put the needs of their constituents ahead of their own personal beliefs.

I am not naive about politics. I understand that our electorate is comprised of diverse people with differing points of view.  But I also believe a true leader can build consensus and serve the needs of all. I am running for Multnomah County Chair because I believe it’s time for someone with a fresh approach to old problems.

It’s time for new leadership. It’s time to put your voice first when making decisions that affect Multnomah County. I need your support to make this happen.  I need your support to give our county government a commissioner willing to listen and compromise and work with people of differing viewpoints.

I need your support to put a person committed to coalition-building and quantifiable results on the Board of Commissioners. Please sign up to volunteer. Click on the link to donate and help bring a new voice and new vision to the table on Election Day.
